WORKSHOPS - MAY TO AUGUST
Between May 1 and August 15, 2010, Dr. Craig Woodson will present
five types of teacher workshops (A-E) at locations around the U.S.
DRUM CIRCLES AND SPECIAL NEEDS - MAY
The first two types of workshops are all in the Cleveland, Ohio area
and are 14 hours each. Taking place on the first four Saturdays in
May, they will focus on:
A. Drum circle skills and African drumming
(Workshop #1)
B. Instrument making for special needs
and conflict resolution
(Workshop #2)
ROOTS OF RHYTHM AND MELODY - JUNE TO AUGUST
Beginning in June, the next two types of workshops each 2.5 days
long and presented over 5 weekdays in 6 locations around the U.S.
will be on:
C. The Roots of Rhythm - world drumming with instrument making
(Workshop #3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13)
D. His new Roots of Melody - world strings and winds with instrument
making
(Workshop #4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14)
Workshop Tuition and Fees
The costs for each workshop are as follows:

One workshop is $200.00 tuition plus $50.00 materials fee

Two workshops are discounted 10% to a total of $450.00

Three workshops are discounted 20% to a total of $600.00
These fees will be paid through the mail-in
registration form on this site.
Graduate Credits For each of the above courses, attendees will be able to receive one
graduate credit hour through Ashland University in Ohio. Paid during
each workshop, the costs are as follows:

WEEKLONG ROOTS OF RHYTHM XAVIER UNIVERSITY COURSE - JULY A 30-hour teacher workshop on the Roots of Rhythm will take place at
Xavier University July 26-30, 2010. Two graduate credits are
available through Xavier.
E. Roots of Rhythm - an in-depth presentation of
this world drumming curriculum authored by Dr. Woodson that includes
instrument making and playing from many of the 16 chapters. It was
written for both music and non-music teachers, and be used in the K-
12 multi-disciplinary classroom. (Workshop #15)
Registration will go through Xavier. The fees vary depending on the
level taken, credit, non-credit, graduate or undergraduate all
